Prediction
We predict that the City of New Orleans and all the affected areas of Hurricane Katrina will be more prepared for future natural disasters. Also that not as many people will want to move to New Orleans, because of the huge push factor of another natural disaster just as destructive as Hurricane Katrina. The population was about 484,000 people before Hurricane Katrina, and it is now at about 360,000 people residing in New Orleans.
Solutions
One solution to this natural disaster is to make the levees and storm walls stronger, and more reinforced. Another solution would be to respond to the hurricane or other natural disaster faster than they did when Katrina hit. The Federal Emergency Management Agency took a few days to respond, and could have saved more lives in that few days. Also to notify the people earlier than they did in Katrina, which would have allowed more people to get out of New Orleans and the other areas that Hurricane Katrina effected.
